Handwoven Alpaca Square Cushion – Fawn Conifer Forest

Handwoven square cushion. Conifer forest design in fawn and cream. 100% undyed British alpaca, made in Scotland.

Product Description

The ultimate hand woven cushion, each is unique. Woven in the softest of British alpaca fleece, the un-dyed colours lend themselves to any interior setting. A gorgeously soft cushion for any sofa or bed, you will just melt into the plump duck down filling. Wonderful to mix and match with other cushions in the collection and can be paired with a handwoven blanket or bed runner to complete the look.
Each cushion is handwoven in Araminta’s Edinburgh studio on her heritage 24 shaft loom. A cushion takes 2 days to produce and comes off the loom with a beautiful hand stitched edging before it is washed, brushed and finished by hand. The cushion is then hand stitched together with an invisible zip hidden in the bottom seam.
The yarn for Araminta’s handwoven alpaca products is bespoke spun in a small Scottish mill. She carefully sources alpaca fleeces from breeders around the UK, and has them spun pure and undyed to showcase their beautiful natural colours.
Alpaca fleece is hypoallergenic and does not contain any lanolin, it is as soft as cashmere and 30% more insulating as the same weight of Merino. Learn more about Alpaca fibre.
Each product comes with a natural cotton bag for safe keeping, wrapped in tissue within a wonderful presentation box tied with ribbon.

Aramintas Notes

This design was inspired by the delicately interlocking patterns found in a pinecone. There is forest surrounding my home in Aberdeenshire, and I have always loved exploring woodland, watching the seasons change and uncovering new textures and patterns to inspire my work.
