Araminta Campbell receives a Scottish EDGE Award from Judge Simon Hannah
On the 6th of December Araminta Campbell was selected as one of the winners of Scottish EDGE #13, and received an award of £30,000 to invest in the further growth of the business.
Scottish EDGE awards is a prestigious competition aiming to encourage and grow entrepreneurial talent in Scotland. Over the course of several rounds, expert panels of judges reviewed nearly 300 applications from small and medium sized businesses around Scotland, inviting 38 to come and pitch their company during a live final at RBS in Gogarburn.
Similar to an episode of the BBC’s Dragon’s Den, on the 5th of December Araminta stood on a stage in front of several hundred people and explained her innovative vision for taking our Scottish textiles to the world. Afterwards she had to withstand a volley of questions from the judges, who took notes for the final decision to be made the following day.
The results were announced the following evening at the Scottish EDGE Awards, and much to our delight Araminta Campbell was one of the 21 Scottish EDGE Winners. The £30,000 we were awarded will be invested in helping to grow our company here in Scotland, allowing us to expand and reach our potential as a Scottish textiles brand of the future.
